French American Workshop for Undergraduates - A Research Experience Abroad
This workshop aims at gathering American undergraduates carrying out a research internship in a French research lab. Students from 3 iREU programs will attend, plus some Fulbright grantees, LSAMP directors and faculty mentors from both side of the ocean.
Plenary lectures will be given by eminent and inspirational Professors and Researchers from both the USA and France. These lectures will take place at the Marthe Condat Auditorium within the Central Administration Building.
It will give the opportunity to all undergraduates to present the work they are carrying out via poster sessions after introducing themselves and their poster using one slide for one minute. The poster session will take place in the Hall of the Central Administration Building.
During the poster session a committee will evaluate the different posters. One student of each iREU will be selected to present the work carried out in a 5-10 minute oral communication.
We are also glad to welcome younger students from the USA who will be visiting selected research groups before the workshop. We hope that this experience will prepare them to return to France for a future research experience.
